Innovise
Logo + Branding
Bellevue, WA
In 2019, I had the opportunity to work with a client for the second time - this time on a new business venture, Innovise. The client was leaving the company he worked for to start his own consulting agency, so having to come up with a look and feel that expressly different for the new logo was a different approach than in past projects.
Concepting & Brand Development
For the first review, I presented four concepts with iconography that evoked technology and software development.
Concept one featured a hexagonal shape with a data networking design. The dots above the eyes were modified to match the hexagonal shape of the icon,
Concept two was a monogram meant to evoke a tower in server rooms.
Concepts three and four were lettermarks of the I and V, with three resembling a power button and a modified typeface to match the icon while four featured a completely custom modern, tech-inspired typeface.
After the first review, the client narrowed down their selection to three concepts, with the only adjustment requested being the color of the icon from concept one to match that of concept three.
After sending those options back to the client, they chose the power button icon as their final concept. However, they really liked the typeface used on concept one, so I showed them options with both. The lower right option of the slab serif was modified to match the rounded corners of the icon and the original sans serif typeface for that concept, and that ended up being the option the client chose as the final logo.
